President's Message for January 2010-

The Annual Fruit Sale has officially kicked-off!  The grapefruit is $17 and the oranges are $18.  This is an easy sell around New Years when people are focused on eating healthy so sell it fast!  For more information, please contact Jake Desrochiers at 775-6105 ext. 214.

In addition to the Fruit Sale, we have begun planning and solicitation assignments have been distributed to members for our Annual Auction on Sunday, March 21st. The auction is our largest fundraiser (after the Rotary House), so please do your part in ensuring your items are in early!  This fundraiser takes an enormous amount of coordination to be a success and we appreciate your help.  If you have any questions, please contact Auction Co-Chair Frank Dumais at 282-3711 ext. 108.

Our Rotary house is still for sale and all the proceeds benefit our scholarship fund.  We have placed an ad in the Homes for Sale Real Estate Magazine for York County but please spread the word that we are selling it for only $32,500! It is 912 square feet, 24’x38’, two bedrooms, one bath, well-insulated and tightly sealed, and features an energy recovery ventilation system.  The buyer is responsible for relocation (approximately $10-20,000 depending on how far the house is moved), appliances, foundation, septic, flooring, paint and heating options.  For more information, please contact Carl Goodwin at 590-4644.

And remember!  Semi-annual dues have been e-mailed and you can add a contribution to Rotary International which our club will match up to $500.

Best regards,

Steve Morin
